This is the province in the west of the country, bordering on Nigeria in the north, on the West province in the south, on the Southwest province in the west and on the Adamaoua / Adamawa province in the east. The province capital is Bamenda. The Bantu tribe constitutes a majority of the population. Most of the people are Catholics but there are many churches of other denominations. Muslims are in the minority. There is also a rich, traditionally African cultural heritage.
